The inverters need adjusting to your requirements.

the 9.5’s are 3600w, so if your PV is producing 5kw, then 1400w needs to go elsewhere. Either to be used in the house or to the grid.

2.6kw charge and discharge on gen1. If your producing more than that it’ll go back to the grid (+ what your house is currently using)
For example is your generating 5kw, and using 0.4kw in the house. 2.6kw will go to batteries and 2kw will have to go back to the grid

Guys I'm really sorry for jumping in, but i thought 1 inverter could connect to multiple batteries. What's the advantage of having 2 inverters?

Martin Verity it’s because one inverter can only handle so many panels, I think 15, and I’ve got 30 hence the two inverters.

Martin Verity the advantage is 2 inverters can charge and discharge at double the rate. Eg. A gen 1 hybrid is rated at 2.6kw and a gen 2 at 3.6kw. If you cook in the house or use high load electrical items then you would be importing from the grid, even if you have a full battery bank because you cant get the contents flowing out fast enough - so 2 inverters gives you either 5.2kw (gen1) or 7.2kw (gen2). Also you can charge up the batteries more quickly if charging up on a limited time window, cheap rate overnight tariff. One more thing, when you have a great number of panels the line voltage they produce has to he lower than the rated max for the inverter, so you either get a higher rated inverter or another inverter.

What size are your inverters?

According to my inference, 1. The inverter will reduce the current when the battery is almost full, and the excess electricity will enter the grid. 2. The battery is not allowed to discharge when it is less than 3/4. Power can only be supplied through the grid.
