Managing director, Dave Jackson is the brains behind Icotherm’s conservatory roof system. He saw a gap in the market for a solid conservatory roof system that was thermally efficient, easy to install and a great solution for refurbishing old, unused conservatories across the UK.conserv2

Icotherm conservatory roof systems is designed to replace glass or polycarbonate conservatory roofs and get them secure and watertight within three hours. Inspired by the structural insulated panels (SIPs) used in modular home building, we created structural timber pre-fabricated pods, which have their insulation built-in and make for a quick and easy roof assembly on site.

The modular pods, manufactured in our factory in Bolton, have very few components. Once made, we number them to make it easier for customers to put them together perfectly on site and we offer straightforward schematic drawings which make easy reading for anyone used to fitting. The can be delivered direct and easily installed to reduce the amount of time installers are on site.

The roof can be easily adjusted on site. There is no deflection, so installers can offer perfect plasterwork ceilings and electrics can be pre-fitted, so it’s just a case of plug and play once you’re on site.conserv14

The process of getting a building certificate is quick and easy too. Icotherm conservatory roof systems is fully compliant with building control regulations. It’s approved by JHAI Building Inspectors and structurally approved by Rhodes & Partners, Structural & Civil Engineers.

Designed and built by conservatory experts with years of experience, Icotherm is the ideal solution for builders and window installers who want to offer conservatory roof refurbishments or build new solid roof conservatories quickly and efficiently.

Why Choose an Icotherm Solid Conservatory Roof?
Icotherm Solid Roof System is based on proven Structurally Insulated Panel (SIP) technology to create an energy efficient solid roof conservatory.

Icotherm features highly insulated timber frame pods that easily fit together to form a structural roof system which can be finished in a choice of Tapco slate, metal tiles or Icoslate lightweight tiles.

Icotherm Solid Roof comes with five tile style options: Envirotile, TapcoSlate, Metrotile, Icoslate and Extralight tile.

Envirotile is really lightweight and has a unique interlocking, dry-fix system. That means it's really quick to fit and there's no need for any cement. Envirotile comes with a 25-year 8Fix storm-proof guarantee on top of the Icotherm 10-year guarantee.

TapcoSlate gives an authentic slate finish with a rugged surface and edges but has an innovative design to improve the performance of our tiled roofs. TapcoSlate won’t break or delaminate and comes with a 40-year warranty.conserv14

Metrotile is made from a lightweight, high grade steel with Aluzinc coating for an elegant finish. Metrotile offers the great aesthetics of slate with improved weather-resistance and strength.

Icoslate offers the genuine look of slate with impressive durability. It’s been specially designed to seamlessly suite with existing roof tiles.

Extralight tile is specially engineered for the UK market and come in three great colour options: Charcoal, Ember & Walnut.

Building Regulations
Since changes to the Building Regulations in 2010, fitting a solid roof on to a conservatory does not usually require Planning Permission and only requires a building certificate.

The Icotherm Solid Conservatory Roof system is fully compliant with building control regulations, approved by JHAI Building Inspectors and structurally approved by Rhodes & Partners, Structural & Civil Engineers. This means that the process of getting a building certificate is quicker and easier.
