Crichton Architectural Services Ltd is a design consultancy specialising in production of technical architectural information for use in the UK. The projects range generally from within the range of £10k to £5m although projects out with this range will also be considered.The range in project types undertaken by the company includes domestic projects, bespoke one off house designs, larger scale housing and flatted developments for developers. Crichton Architectural Services also undertake such non-domestic projects as healthcare, education, commercial and industrial projects. Those involved in design have many years experience within commercial, public and private building design.

The services we offer range from very basic initial feasibility studies all the way through to project managing of projects during the construction phase.

We understand that most clients do not understand the complexities of RIBA stages of work and have therefore simplified this into a more simplistic form which is suitable for most domestic scale projects. We will normally follow RIBA plan of works and stages for larger projects where this complexity is unavoidable.

The simplified process includes the following stages:

Stage 0 - Feasibility stage (*1)
Stage 1 - Planning (*2)
Stage 2 - Building Warrant (3*)
Stage 3 - Tender Documentation (*4)
Stage 4 - Site Construction Administration (*5)

Please note that each of the stages follows on from the previous and builds on the information produced at an earlier stage.

We can produce drawings and associated information for the purposes of making the following local authority applications:

Planning permission
Conservation area consents
Listed building permissions
Permitted development

Building warrants (note a structural engineers input will be required to assist on projects with structural input)
